Hello, I'm Isobelle.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a woman who wears different masks. Mother-writer, wife-professional, scholar-novelist. Living in the United Kingdom, I have been drawn to the little known, the secret stories, about the people and the nations: the English, the Irish, the Scots, the Welsh, and those who are now part of these nations whatever their origins. My vision and passion are fuelled by my interest and background in history and paradoxically, shaped by growing up in a clan steeped in lore, loyalty, and legend. You will notice from my stories that I am intrigued by forces that simmer beneath the surface of these cultures, the hidden passions, unsaid desires, and yearnings unfulfilled.
That is my official bio. Honestly? I'm just an ordinary woman who loves reading, letting the words flow through me and lift me up. I like baking snickerdoodles and Russian tea cakes. My son loves baking them too, well at least after licking the batter off the bowl. Ha! I make a mean beef stew derived from my grandmother's secret recipe. Except for my Uncle and me, no one knows exactly how it's done. I love swimming though I don't get to do that much now. Someday, I'd like to go back to it.
I do love myths and legends, love watching documentaries, and I do belong to a huge clan that is scattered across North America, Oceania, and Asia. Now that I'm living in the UK, add Europe.
Another thing that I love? To hear from you. So drop me a message when you can through my contact page and I will definitely reply. I
