In three more sleeps, Friebinders: Marek will be live on Amazon and I'm nervous as hell.
I can't speak for all authors, but when a book that I wrote is released to the world, I really get nervous. All. The. Time. It's like exposing a part of yourself, your psyche - because where else will your characters come from? In some shape or form, they are reflections of my experiences, my beliefs, my truths. But I have to write it in such a way that I don't pontificate or force my beliefs on others.
Authors have the unenviable task of tempering right from wrong, raising the stakes that makes it uncomfortable to write. Authors have to have guts of steel that must not be eroded by anxiety fueled stomach acid.
So it begins again. I'm looking forward with a lot of trepidation of what readers will think of Firebinders: Marek.
