So, Midnight's Redemption is done. Mack and Jasmine's story was a difficult one to write. Why? Because I was vacillating between two endings. Ths was the first time, as a writer, that I've had to list down the pros and cons of using one ending over the other. No one ever told me this could happen. But, it was a good thing that it did. It honed my craft and I found a way to incorporate them both. Though that left a loose end that needs to be rectified in a sequel. Don't worry, Mack and Jasmine's story has an HEA which you'll love. It's Free on Kindle Unlimited.
I've written my interview I had with the two, but I haven't sent it out yet. I need time to let it steep, settle, swirl it a bit before it can be as good as it can be. Newsletter subscribers will get a link to a Members Only Page. Non-newsletter subscribers can read it in my FB Readers Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1008768885966488/)
I plotting the next books in the series...oh! and a short story/novella that will be free for newsletter subscribers ONLY. It wil be Herod D'Argyll and Arabella Strachan's love story. This will be out by Halloween. Hopefully! I have health issues now which I'd rather not discuss on the blog. Suffice to say, it has prevented me from writing on several occasions and has led me to miss my self-imposed deadlines.
But enough of me. Afterall, this blog is for my books, right?
At the moment, I'm starting to write the third sequel in the Dragon Hearts Series. Dragonslayer, Dragon Ring is actually it's tentative title. I have so many stories in my mind, my mental filing cabinet is close to bursting! Anyway, this is going to be Owen Mann and Sabine's story. Owen is Cadmus, one of the Pinehaven's Dragonslayers. Back in Dragonslayer, Dragon Heart, we met Saxton Lance (Apollo) and his Omega, Orelle Molyneaux, Theo Rennick (Jason), Braden Adelram (Heracles), and Derrick Berwyn (Perseus). In Dragonslayer, Dragon Light we met Tyrus Cameron, who is another slayer named Perseus and his Omega, Lia Devereaux; but he is from the Clan Rhodes. Each slayer has an Omega - the final dragon they need to slay in order to get their soul back. Why? So that they can die in pacem. Slayers cannot die until they get their souls. They also become the butt of jokes when they can't find their dragons.
But dragons have become scarce and more difficult to find. And when the slayer find his Omega, what does he do if he has fallen in love with her? Kill her so he can die in peace? Or love her and court the disdain of all slayers and banished from everything he's ever known?
That's what my slayers have to figure out for themselves.
Anyway! I'm back to writing. I've got coffee and my books while my mojo is hovering above. I hope it stays until I'm done!
